Harry Starke, Two for the Money, Hill House. The first three gripping novels in Blair Howard's best selling series
If you love thrillers, mysteries, suspense and non-stop action with a touch of humor and romance, then it’s time you met Harry Starke.Harry Starke ”" Book 1
Why did Tabitha Willard throw herself from the Walnut Street Bridge?
It was bitterly cold, midnight in mid-winter. Tabitha Willard makes the ultimate choice and throws herself from the Walnut Street Bridge into the unforgiving waters of the icy Tennessee River. Her jump was witnessed, and almost stopped by Harry Starke, a private detective with as much attitude as talent. Unfortunately, he was unable to halt her plunge, instead plunging himself headlong into a mystery that grows with every passing second, one that makes him question everything he thought he knew. Soon Harry finds himself embroiled in an investigation that involves a local United States Congressman, a Senior Senator from Boston, a dangerous crime boss and several other unsavory individuals, all wrapped up in sex, extortion, high finance, corruption and topped off with three murders. It's a case unlike any Starke has taken so far, a case that will push him to the extremes of the law and thought as he has to work his way through a web of deceit and deception so deep it could rock the very heights of Government and threaten everything Harry holds dear.
Two for the Money - Book 2
Who Killed Tom Sattler? Who Stole $350 Million from New Vision Strategic Investments?
It's up to Harry Starke to Figure it out
The call came on a Tuesday evening in the middle of August at around nine-thirty. It was from an old school friend that Harry Starke hadn't heard from in almost five years, and he hadn't thought about him in almost as long. Tom Sattler wanted to meet with Harry urgently, and it wouldn't wait until morning. When Harry arrived at Sattler's luxury home less than an hour later, he found him dead, lying in a pool of blood, a single gunshot wound to the head, and .22 revolver lying close to his hand.
Suicide? If he was going to do that, why the hell did he call me?
The search for an answer to that question plunges Harry into a wide ranging investigation that involves murder, corruption, organized crime, and deception.
Hill House - Book 3
For more than ten years, she lay beneath the floorboards of Hill House. For more than ten years, she waited. Who was she? Who put her there? Why? Harry Starke vows to find the answers to those questions, but to do so he must embark upon an investigation that will put him and those close to him in deadly danger, take him deep into the underground city, the Dark Web, murder, organized crime, prostitution, and human trafficking. One by one, he peels back the layers, and with each one he sinks a little deeper into the morass, the seamy underbelly of a world few people know about, and even fewer want to be a part of. Hill House has many doors. None of them lead anywhere but into darkness and despair.

I gave these Harry Starke books a 5 star review because they kept me interested and wanting to read more from page one. Harry Starke is an ok guy, maybe a little too handy with the ladies, but still ok. And of course all of his women are drop-dead gorgeous, so that's also just a bit annoying. There's no real description of Starke, but he must be some hunk of a man, because all the beautiful woman want him. The only thing that makes this part of Harry palatable is that there are no over-the-top descriptions of his sexcapades. I know that's not a word, but you get my drift. Otherwise, for some reason, it's hard to put his books down. He's chasing bad guys so you root for him all the way. There's not a lot of mundane filler, either, you know when you're just tired of the extra verbiage so you basically scan a few pages to get to the substance. There are a few typos here and there, but not many. This is probably a series men would like because every man would probably love to be Harry Starke, lol.Product details

The Harry Starke Series Books 13 The Harry Starke Series Boxed Set Book 1 edition by Blair Howard Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
Like another reviewer, I just finished the first three books and bought the next set immediately. Love the characters, though I could do with a little less of Harry's sexual exploits. At least they're not graphically portrayed. Thank goodness! The stories are really gripping. I found it hard to put the books down. I loved the fact that they were sold on in groups of three for a very affordable price, considering how many of these things I read. Thanks for writing them. You've made me a fan, and I hope my review will encourage others who like mystery and adventure like the Jack Reacher books.
This is a fast moving story able to grip you into the story and still leave you trying to figure it out. A good read.
It only took 48 hours/1 weekend to read the series. I found myself putting other things on hold to stop and read just a few more pages. Of course, those few pages turned into several chapters. The thing I liked most, the characters were all very real. With the detail of their looks and personalities, it truly was like putting a name with a face. Can't wait to read the next series but won't start until my workweek is complete. Can't let Harry cause me to lose my job. 10 star rating from me!!!!
First time reading this author and I really liked his flow in telling the story of Harry Starke. Weren't too many characters to try to keep up and all were interesting individuals. I also liked how the author would speak to what Harry was thinking which was comical and I liked the added humor written it. But I do agree with another reviewer about what's with all the descriptive clothing that was detailed every time Harry dressed. As well as his critique of every woman in this series describing in detail their body structure and how each woman was gorgeous. I found that just annoying. I also question Lt. Kate Gazzarra choice in wearing 3 in high heels in her daily work ''uniform." That's unheard of in law enforcement for a sworn women officer to dress in such a manner. You can sex her up without the 3 inch stilettos. But otherwise the books I really like now that I know what to expect in Harry's dealings and descriptions. I'll keep reading the series. There not long reading books which I like, they get to the point and move on which Harry does his way.
Just finished the first 3 books in the series and turned around me bought the next 3 books. Never boring, easy and fun. I enjoy the characters, feel like I on0w them and look forward to what will happen next.
Really enjoyed this! Howard writes in a style that is reminiscent of J.A Jance and Lee Child, while Starke also reminds me of Spenser and Travis McGee. His sexual exploits remind me of Stone Barrington. But what's with the detailed clothing and shoe descriptions? I am so glad when I find a new author with a good number of books so I can binge. I just bought Books 4 - 6.
Very relatable characters. Harry is a tough, lovable rebel PI. Great story lines. I immediately bought books 4-6, after reading 1-3. Each book stands on it's own with a new plot and murder/mystery to solve.
